STUDENT ENROLMENT AND EXAMINATION PROCESS
· The Department has organized
the "Learning Management Program" in collaboration with
I.I.T., Kanpur on last week of August 2004 for taking the benefit
of E-Learning facility and disseminating the knowledge through
the network of project "Brihaspati". The students were
exposed to virtual class room environment and they were also participated
in the program.
· The Department has extended full support in taking the
lectures on fundamentals of Information and Communication Technology
and also conducting the laboratory classes for the three refresher
courses organized by the university in the last academic year
2004-2005.
· The Department has 32 sanctioned seats in M. SC. (ICT)
leading to MCA. The admission into this programme is done through
Orissa JEE and Entrance Test conducted by the University.
· The Department has adopted semesterised examination
systems. Apart from formal examination system, due emphasis is
also given to the presentations in Seminar and group discussion,
as a part of continuous evaluations system. In order to maintain
high standard in evaluation system, 50% of the papers are evaluated
by the examiners from outside this University.
· All the faculty members are actively engaged in teaching
and developmental activities of the university. Besides teaching,
they are also engaged in research and guiding scholars in various
functional areas of Information and Communication Technology.
· The teachers of the department are very much cordial
and accessible by the students. The students are allowed to interact
after the class hour and in the laboratories.
