The Department of Information
& Communication Technology was started offering Master degree
course in Information and Communication Technology from the year
2004. On the basis of the cafeteria approach, the Department started
offering 3-year MCA course from this year. However, on completion
of the 2 years course (i.e. 4th semester), one is entitled to
M. Sc. Degree in Information & Communication Technology. The
total number of seats is limited to 32. The Department has sanctioned
strength of one Professor, two Readers and three Lecturers. The
Department sincerely attempts to prepare professionals in Information
and Communication Technology for corporate and non-corporate sectors
including government and developmental institutions. The Department
is planning to establish a national network for education, training,
research and development and consultancy in ICT and related areas.
