Laboratory, Library and Other
facilities available
The University has well organized Computer Lab., Biotechnology
Lab. and Environmental Science Lab. Besides its Lab in the Dept.
of Population Studies is adequate and as per needs. Each Dept.
has adequate connectivity facilities. The University has also
joined the Project Brihaspati in collaboration with IIT, Kanpur
for providing access to outside through visual class room system.
It has already developed a good library of books etc. in the relevant
subjects. There is provision for organizing programmes on Development
of Communication skill and personality by the University
on no-loss no-profit basis. Such programmes were held in 2004-05.
Campus interviews were held during the academic session 2004-2005
and some of our students were selected for jobs by a software
company. Welfare facilities like Bank, Canteen etc. are there
in the present campus. There is provision for a Students Cultural
Council consisting of members (2 nominated by each Head of the
Dept. ) who elect their General Secretary & Joint General
Secretary. The Culture Council organises Cultural Programmes in
consultation with the Chairman, students Cultural Council.

| (i)
University Sports Council |
The
University Sports Council conducts Annual athletic meets besides
conducting various activities in affiliated colleges. It monitors
the participation of students in various inter-University and
inter state sports and athletic meets. |

NSS |
The
University organizes various social work/ service programmes
in the adopted villages and in the University campus. |

(iii) University Student's Cultural Council |
Organises
cultural programmes. |
| (iv)
Personal Advisory System |
The
University has introduced Personal Advisory System for proper
interaction of students and teachers. This promotes student's
welfare and atmosphere conducive to study in campus. |

Evaluation of teachers |
The
University implements the Evaluation of teachers by students
through a structured questionnaire. |
| (vi)
Training and Placement Cell |
(i)
The University has already interacted with various industries
for vocational training and placement of students.
(ii) The Cell has plans to take up career guidance for students
and arrangement of campus interview and organization of Entrepreneurship
motivation camp. In 2005 a job mela was organised on 2nd April
and representatives of 9 industries attended it. |

Annual memorial lecture series |
The
University organises Annual memorial Lecture series in memory
of Eminent personalities of the region- Fakir Mohan Senapati,
Kabibar Radhanath Ray, Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, and Kantakabi
Laxmi kanta. |

University Library |
The
University Library has already made a collection of nearly 7000
Books(?) and extends reading room facility, Journal section
and reprographic facility. It plans to digitise the library
soon. |

It
is located in Department of Information and communication
Technology created out of MP LAD fund. It is used by students,
teachers and other members of the University. 20 No. of Pentium-IV
with Internet facility, number of software packages and facility
for various computer languages are available.

Project BRIHASPATI |
The
University has collaborated with IIT Kanpur in providing E-learning
facility after launching of the EDUSAT satellite.
