Conduct of Examination and Publication
of Result:
In 1999-2k academic session only 10 (ten) examinations were conducted
by the University. The number of examinations conducted in 2004-05
was as many as 72. It is proposed to conduct 114 examinations
in the current academic session with skeletal staff. Since the
year of establishment, the University conducted various examinations
and published results in time.
Most of the courses offered by the University are unitized. Semester
system of examination have been introducted in almost all courses
except +3 Degree (Arts/Science/Commerce), BPEd, BEd, Law and PG
courses offered by affiliated colleges. The above examinations
are conducted annually.
The University provides teaching to students atleast for 180 days
in an academic session. The courses offered in the University
provides scope for continuous evaluating. The tests include assignments,
seminars, project work, field work, internal assessment, quiz
tests and periodic evaluation. (Midterm and end term examinations).
As per the regular PG Department regulation of the University,
the examinations is based on periodic assessment. The students
are awarded Grade Points (GP), GPA & OGPA. The marks of student
are converted into 10 points scale. This system promotes a system
of checks and balances besides arresting incidents of injustice
to the students who appear at the examination. Steps are being
taken to introduce Grade Point system in autonomous and other
affilitated colleges for under / post graduate courses.
To promote transparency and timely publication of results the
following steps have been initiated by the University.
(i) The questions are set by External Setters and moderated by
the Board of Moderators recommended by Board of Studies.
(ii) Evaluation is made by both external and internal examiners.
(iii) Answer Scripts before sent for valuation are coded by external
agencies.
(iv) Evaluation of scripts are made at zonal valuation centres.
(v) Pre and post examination work have been computerised.
(vi) Tabulation, processing and publication of results have been
computerised.
(vii) Computerised Tabulation Register, Mark Sheet, Provisional
Certificate and Original
Diploma are issued to the students.
In view of the above, F.M. University has earned a rare distinction
of publishing the results of the +3 Degree and other professional
examinations first for last three consecutive years as compared
to other Universities of the State. A detail report of the student
pass out statistics for the year 2000 to 2005 has been given in
Appendix-I.

With the change in Ph.D Regulations of the University in Orissa,
it has become mandatory for all universities for conduct Entrance
