STUDENTS ACTIVITY
The wall magazine focuses
on topics of contemporary interest.
There were two issues of the wall magazine:
1. The Golden Helix
2. Space Biology: Commemorating Kalpana Chawla.
Field trip of the Department
was organised on 9th February 2005 to the Similipar Reserve Forest
and Tiger Sanctuary.
Summer training of students (2004-2005):
All the students of Biotechnology went through a 6-8 week Training
program after the Second Semester, during the Summer break, in
a reputed Industry and/or a National Laboratory to expose the
students to modern technology and competitive scientific environment.
Ten students were trained at Delhi University in the academic
year 2004-2005.
Seminar is an integral part
of the curriculum for the M.Sc. program in Biosciences & Biotechnology.
Through the Seminar activities, the students are kept abreast
with the recent developments in the field. Students collect data,
organize it in a presentable form either through the posters,
slides or Power Point presentations.
