Vision Of the Dept

RESEARCH, CONSULTANCY & EXTENSION WORKS

Department promotes research culture among faculties and students. Faculty members completed some major research projects, funded by different funding agencies.

Faculties guided and presently guiding research scholars and produced 03-Ph.D. and 07 of M.Phil under Utkal; and Sambalpur University.

At present through project through project work, each faculty is guiding P.G. students on need based, Industry oriented research topic to solve local Environmental problems.

Department is fulfilling its social responsibilities by working on need base areas through such mini projects, serving local communities by extension works like:-

a. Developing economically feasibly municipal solid waste treatment and disposal system for Balasore.

b. Disaster Management by developing natural disaster reduction programme.

c. Community preparedness programme by training local communities to deal Natural Disasters.

d. Developing local capabilities to mitigate cyclone/ flood/ Tsunami related problems.
