Profile of the P.G. Department of Business
Management
Initially, the MBA program of Fakir Mohan University started in
Self-Financing mode in the year 2002-03. However, the regular
MBA program started in the Department of Business Management during
the year 2004-05. Now the P.G. Department of Business Management
offers two year full time management programme leading to MBA
degree with six sanctioned regular faculty. The Department prepares
professionals in management and information technology for corporate
and non-corporate sectors including government and developmental
institutions. The Department is planning to establish an international
network for education, training, research and development as also
consultancy in management and related areas.
Student Enrolment
The Department has sanctioned strength of 40 students. The admission
into MBA programme is regulated through Orissa JEE.
Teaching Aids
The teachers are profusely using transparency sheets in the class
room and taking help of the computer to explain the topics through
PowerPoint.
Evaluation system
Apart from formal examination system, due emphasis is also given
to the presentations in Seminar, Case Studies conducted by the
students as a part of continuous evaluations system. In order
to maintain high standard in evaluation system, 50 % of the papers
are sent to examiners from other Universities.
